1. Product Overview
IS200ERDDH1ABA (ERDD = Exciter Regulator Dynamic Discharge Board) is the core power drive and protection board for GE EX2100 static excitation control system, installed on ERBP excitation regulator backplane, working together with ERIO I/O board, EGP main control board and power thyristor bridge to complete generator excitation regulation and overvoltage protection. It supports two system architectures: simplex single excitation regulator and dual hot-standby redundant excitation regulator. In simplex mode, it controls K3 charging relay; in redundant mode, it controls K41 de-excitation relay for fast field energy discharge during excitation trip. Built-in dedicated IGBT gate drive circuit outputs precise pulse signals to control the conduction angle of the excitation power rectifier bridge, realizing continuous adjustment of generator field current. The integrated dynamic discharge circuit rapidly releases residual energy stored in DC-link capacitors and excitation windings during shutdown, trip or load rejection, effectively suppressing dangerous overvoltage and protecting power semiconductors and generator excitation windings from breakdown damage. Onboard RTD temperature acquisition circuit monitors real-time temperature of power bridge IGBT modules; multi-channel voltage/current feedback sampling feeds operating status back to EGP main controller for closed-loop voltage regulation. Dual independent P1/P2 rear connectors realize redundant SRTP Ethernet communication, ensuring uninterrupted fault data upload and control command interaction when one communication link fails. Full IPC-CC-830 conformal coated PCB, metal heat dissipation structure, industrial anti-corrosion, moisture-proof and anti-electromagnetic interference design, suitable for long-term stable operation in high-temperature, high-EMI power plant excitation cabinet environments.
